Program of research focused on better understanding and treating co-occurring addiction and mental illness, especially tobacco addiction. I’ve had continuous funding for over 25 years on 120 research grants (about $160M) where I had a range of roles, including as Principal Investigator on 31 grants and mentor on 18 NIH or other research career awards.
